Haven't done any digitally realism for a very long time! Think the last time I uploaded anything like this was back in 2009 haha. Well, had a lot of fun with this~~ Took around 6 hours I think? Forgot to time myself with the last bit I did. Oops!
I really LOVE this! With what tool to you make the short hair of the nose? I usually use the drag tool, although it looks like you made each hair with the coloring tool, so do you make the darker colors first and the lighter colors after? o: xD I want to improve badly.
And here's a wip from early on: [link] Before the fur I paint in all the main colors and shades. Then from there I go in with a 3px brush and just built up the fur by drawing each strand. I draw layers of quick tight strokes to really build up the thickness and consistency of fur. It can be tedious and time consuming but I find it pretty fun XD And to get the fur on the nose I made shorter brush strokes~
Hope that makes sense? Not really sure how to explain without actually showing. But hope it helps a bit c:
ooo: Yay Thank you! ^w^, I always do the painting, shading and lgithing first, then I use the drag and sometimes I use the burning or lightening tool, but now i know how to make it more realistic >D Thanks!! ^^ *Le hugs*
